Epson
inc.

Relocating Epson from a single high-rise to an open campus across two buildings was an opportunity to reimagine a workplace that would embody teamwork, pride, and community. The construction of a sleek pedestrian bridge along with the integration of dual-purpose airy communal gathering areas promote interaction and collaboration. Exterior enhancements including the addition of a basketball area, new windows, and the potential for solar, as well as new landscaping, with native drought-tolerant plants, outdoor seating, and walking paths that ribbon around the buildings for a casual walk and talks also encourage the staff to cross paths. Each of the buildings features unique communal spaces that encourage an intuitive crossing of paths and the flexibility of working away from personal desks.

Epson’s vast collection of technology immediately becomes an immersive experience for anyone walking through the front doors. The lobby is a stunning showcase featuring Epson products, a green wall, and a living installation by renowned kinetic artist Refik Anadol projected onto a 20-foot wide wall. Light scenes guide the way for visitors as they illuminate polished concrete floors with playful graphics and artwork. Epson’s technology and the familiar language found in their forms are featured and integrated into many of the architecture and details throughout the space.
