Managing Principal

A.J. Wilder, AIA, Managing Principal of Wolcott Architecture Interiors (WAI), has 15 years of experience in the business
of commercial and residential interior and exterior architecture.
A.J. grew up on Long Island, New York where he worked for a general contractor building custom residential beach houses. From there, he worked in Manhattan as an architect apprentice while attending New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, New York. Working on several commercial architectural projects, A.J. soon grew into the role of Project Manager. While at the New York firm, A.J. completed several projects abroad in London and additionally worked up and down the eastern seaboard. At the request of one of his clients, he came to California to work on a corporate interiors project. Once completed, A.J. chose to reside in California and join WAI as a Project Manager. After joining WAI, he quickly rose in the firm to become a Partner. In this position, he has become an integral part of the design and management direction of the firm.

Outside of work, A.J. finds time to be a board member of the Men’s Guild for the Children’s Hospital of Southern California

and is an active member of the Bel-Air Country Club. Additionally, he has spent numerous hours assisting in fund raising events for the Multiple Sclerosis organization.

A.J.’s favorite past times include golf, flying planes, car racing and hunting.
